Purdue's Healthcare Technical Assistance Program provides short-term consulting services for Indiana’s hospitals through a partnership between: Indiana Hospital Association Purdue Technical Assistance Program
What does Healthcare Technical Assistance Program do? It provides short consulting projects for hospitals on many issues including: •Patient flow in ED, OR, OB, and Med-Surg units •Scheduling of OR and other departments •Pharmacy processes and medication safety •Documentation and improvement of administrative functions •Training on continuous improvement methods
Hospital prepresentatives serve on the Purdue Technical Assistance Advisory Council. They provide Purdue with insight on the problems hospitals face and the solutions they seek. How do you get started? The first step is a team visit to discuss and define specific projects. A project proposal is then provided. After project completion, the Purdue team presents their findings and recommendations in person.
